Laser, not LED.
Most face masks on the market use standard LEDs. The G11 uses true VCSEL laser diodes — a coherent light source that delivers more uniform distribution across the face and is generally understood to penetrate tissue more efficiently than equivalent LED arrays.
The result is a higher effective irradiance — 48 to 60 mW/cm² across 270 chips — in a wearable device shaped to the contours of the face.
